Final Kids Free Fishing event coming June 6

Organizers say the final Kids Free Fishing event of the season is set for June 6, continuing a local tradition that introduces youngsters to the lakes and rivers that define Newaygo County summers.
Volunteers will help with bait, basic casting, and safe fish handling. Parents are asked to bring sunscreen, water, and a camera — and to leave the pressure at home.
"It's not about the biggest fish," one organizer said. "It's about a kid remembering the day they first felt a tug on the line."
