When the river rose, I didn't learn which roads were closed from a national feed. I learned it from neighbors — and from the Times Indicator that showed up on schedule with names, photos, and the quiet details that make a place real.
Please keep telling the ordinary stories. They are the ones we clip and tape to the fridge.
